RETIREMENT and LAYUPS
We offer loving care to the retired or injured horse. We have a nice variety of options including private stalls, small or large pastures, so the horse can be included with a herd if desired. All the stalls have views of farm activities and our menagerie of goats, lamas, chickens, cats and dogs visit all the horses so no horse is bored, isolated or anxious. We are happy to provide special soups, supplements, medications, wraps or other support services for retirees and injured horses.

Morayiah

Our service goal is to provide optimal quality of life for our horses. Our retirees sometimes require soups and medications and we specialize in making them comfortable and happy.

UC Davis Stud Mangagement certificate

Our stallions are happy, relaxed and enjoy good libidos and productivity through our special stallion management. Our mares have a good conception rate in our relaxed, caring environment. Providing a stress free environment for the horses is our top priority.

Fancier Farm owners David and Joan Dilworth are hands-on managers, directly handling the breedings, foalings, showings and daily handling of the horses. The business goal is a friendly service that produces horses in optimal mental and physical condition.

Growing up at Fancier Farm includes "Miss Joan's Manners Classes" and this means not stepping on people, leading politely, and being able to socialize!

Fancier Farm is able to offer individualized management for horses, offering paddock and stalls and/or irrigated pasture. Youngsters can romp in pasture with senior babysitters to teach them, or recovering horses can enjoy a few quiet hours of turn out grazing with a companion.
