Shown above one of three retired race horses from Hong Kong, TRUST MYSELF with Fancier Farm owner and manager, Joan Dilworth. "Trusty" is the chief entertainer in the retired gelding pasture.
Shown below are two retired race horses, FREEDOM REINS, the chestnut shown with his friend JIMMY, the white horse, and MILLENIUM, shown with his pasture buddy GEIST, (in the fly mask). Geist is shown below unmasked.
Retirees at Fancier Farm come from all kinds of backgrounds. We have race horses, jumpers, dressage horses, family horses, ponies, and every kind of horse imaginable. These horses spend their days grazing in our irrigated pastures in small groups carefully chosen for compatibility.
If you are thinking of retiring your horse, our program is one of the finest, including special nutritional needs, preparation of soups or special diets, special bedding or whatever your older horse needs.
Some of our seniors are in large airy stalls with our menagerie of goats, dogs, chickens and cats to visit and entertain them. Scampy and Maryah visit on rounds and each senior is checked daily by our staff.
We are happy to accomodate your needs for turn out, pasture or stall rest for your retired or lay up horses.
