Rembrandt Jumping Rembrandt, Holstein Stallion Rembrandt, Holstein Stallion
Rembrandt is a pure bred Holsteiner bred in Australia and imported to the U.S.A. He carries 75% Holsteiner and 25% Thoroughbred bloodlines. Rembrandt's career started in the early 1980's; he competed both Grand Prix Jumping and F.E.I. Dressage.

He successfully competed at such places as the Grand Prix of Sale, placing first, the Border Town Grand Prix, 4th Place, The Austrialian Capital City Grand Prix and many other competitions around the country (including many A & B grade competitions.)

Due to the consistent demands on the horse as a sire, he had then proven his versatility and was trained at F.E.I. Level Dressage at which he competed at Prix St. Georg Level for a brief period. He was successful at competitions such as the Victorian Dressage Championships; he won the Pope Cupe in the advanced level competition at the Melbourne Royal Show ans was placed in many competitions at both levels.

Due to the demanding stress put on him at being successful at both levels and a demanding contract with the Victorian Mounted Police as their number one sire of Mounted Police Horses, Rembrandt made only selected competitions. After it was felt he was a good horse with the ability to be trained in such high levels for both.

Rembrandt's sire, Romedio, was imported to Australia in the early 70's. Romedio was a fully registered and approved Holsteiner stallion. He was one of the highest scoring performance tested stallions of his era and was given an A1 classification as an improvement stallion from the Holsteiner Pferd. He stood two seasons afer his slassification and produced good quality future sires and numerous grand prix show jumpers and dressage horses.

Romedio carries the famous R Line from his sire Rigoletto and grand sire Ramzes. Rigoletto himself was a grand prix show jumper, as was Romedio's dam Waldenerin. Romedio produced some of Australia's best performance horses and his bloodlines are still going strong through his progeny in Australia today. He was exported to New Zealand for two seasons and unfortunately passed awy there. He was around 30 years old at the time.

Romedio himself was trained to grand prix level dressage. One of his best sons Mountbatten was imported to the U.S.A. and had competed at Grand Prix Dressage for many years. His name was changed to St. Tropez and was California Prix St. George Horse of the Year. He is now deceased.

Rembrandt's damn also carries another Holsteiner bloodline from the imported Holsteiner stallion Flaneur, the first Holsteiner stallion imported to Australia. He was a fully performance tested stallion and approved by the Holsteiner PFERD. Flanuer produced many of Australia's top performance and broodmares for many years and his wonderful bloodlines are still strong there today.

Rembrandt's T.B. lines relate back to Dark Ronald and St. Simon, both G.B. Rembrandt's progeny have been iimported ot th U.S.A. and have excelled in show jumping, dressage and eventing. His most successful being a mare by the name of Ruby Red imported to the U.S. in 1995. She has carried her rider to many wins in equitation and jumper classes.
